We are looking for a highly energized and passionate team player who is accountable for the sales results and development of new and existing business within our research accounts in the Netherlands. Your defined territory will include the cities of Utrecht, Leiden, and Wageningen, as well as their surrounding areas. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for The Netherlands, this position involves building and maintaining key relationships, with the ability to apply understanding of customer organizations, needs, and networks to integrate our innovative product workflows into their research applications. You will respond to customer needs whilst making use of all available technologies and channels to support the sales process.
Job Description
The overall purpose of the function is to consult and sell the research product portfolio to existing accounts as well as identifying and acquiring new clients. Growing the research business and meeting the sales budget for the research portfolio within the assigned territory is a responsibility. The main tasks and core activities of the employee include :
Qualifications
We are looking for an ideal candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Master's or PhD in (stem) cell biology, immunology, cancer biology, or neuroscience preferred) and at least 3 years of successful sales experience in the same field. You have experience in managing complex sales cycles. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at senior levels are required. Moreover, building positive working relationships at all levels is also a key requirement, that we believe will help us achieve our shared goals. In addition, you have excellent time and territory management skills and the ability to make pragmatic decisions quickly, a strong work ethic, customer focus, and commercial acumen. The ideal candidate should have expertise in using Microsoft Office and is willing to travel extensively within the Netherlands. The position is based in the assigned territory. Fluency in English is a must, and knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
