Support the SBU Category Managers in the daily management of the group offering on safety products and the management of group suppliers.

In this position you will support the SBU Category Managers in the daily management of the group offering on safety products. Together with the Purchasing Director you manage the group suppliers and ascertain proper contract management and correct pricing of the group assortment. Be in charge of sharing information and ensuring correct application of group decisions in the subsidiairies & Supplier partners.

You are responsible for the creation of the items requested by the subsidiaries in the SAP / STEP database. Support the Purchasing Director and Group Category Managers (GCM) in the preparation, delivery and tracking of all operational, analytical & presentation material associated to driving the relevant Category strategy forward. The GMSO may undertake the management of a small number of suppliers to aid their professional development. The GMSO, in collaboration with the SBU Category Manager and the GMSOs community, will help support the group product assortment for safety products.

Main Missions

Managing, on a daily basis, the group product range via a strong partnership with the Group Category Manager(s)

Support the fomalisation of the group suppliers

Participation to the life of the category (product and supplier knowledge

Assisting product & supplier selection, creation & follow-up

Communicate to & support the subsidiaries on product and supplier topics

Ensure occasionally the consistency of the supplier’s product content received by the content team

Attend supplier meetings to aid personal development

Ensuring the production of the offer deliverables in line with the annual schedule (key dates)

Group Bible listing creation, communication, update

Group Purchasing Supplier Price lists creation collection, communication, update

Support the subsidiaries in the understanding & usage of the deliverables

Managing the SAP product database

Code requests processing – matching, creation, update & communication

Guarantee the maintenance of the database – descriptions, UoM, manufacturer, duplicates codes, hierarchy allocation

Support the subsidiaries in the understanding of creation & modification processes / documents

May be involved in supporting Group / Category focused projects under the leadership and supervision of the relevant Category Manager
