Head of Finance

We are currently looking for a Head of Finance (m / f / x) in the FMCG in The Hague area.

The Head of Finance plays a critical role in the success of the company providing strategic financial leadership and expertise. This role oversees all aspects of financial administration, management reporting, financial management, risk management, information technology, taxation, internal controls, and leads a team of finance professionals. The Head of Finance will be responsible for the successful implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP as the company integrates local policies, procedures, and systems in line with the broader of the company.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly flash results, management accounts, and KPI reports , updating estimates.
• Develops and updates costing models to provide meaningful information for operational management.
• Oversees the full finance function, including variance analysis, working capital management, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and reporting against budget.
• Prepares 5-year plans and financial models for capital expenditure requests .
• Manages year-end audits, statutory records, and filings .
• Liaises with financial institutions regarding funding and recommends financing options.
• Ensures all taxation compliance matters are met, including pre paring and filing relevant returns.
• Oversees and authorizes payroll and is responsible for personnel files, education, and evaluations.
• Manages risk by ensuring adequate insurance coverage and maintaining a risk register with action plans.
• Ensures company compliance with the authority matrix.
• Leads and mentors a team of finance professionals.
• Acts as the IT system owner, ensuring all user needs are met.
• Plays an integral role in the ERP development and implementation process.
• Reviews the correct application of the IFS system.
• Member of the Crisis Team as part of the IFS requirement.
• Contributes to Health & Safety functions, records, and documentation.
• Maintains strong relationships and collaborates across the wider business.
