For our company, we are looking for a strong professional who will be responsible for a 360 view of the financial activities for both The Netherlands and Belgium, starting with accounting and expanding to all fields of finance.

The position reports to a Finance manager based in Belgium, with a dotted line to the country manager within the country. The geographic scope of the job covers The Netherlands and Belgium.

Summary of Essential Job Functions :

General / Statutory Accounting

Responsible for complete and accurate financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet)
Support monthly forecasts and month end closings
Support the annual conversion of US GAAP accounting to ensure local statutory compliance.
V.A.T reporting and filing
US GAAP and Statutory GAAP reconciliation
Posts the statutory entries into the GL
Annual Report preparation
E&Y audit preparation
CIT return preparation
Implement and follow up on Finance Policies and Procedures

Non Trade Accounts Payable :

Monitor the payment process (payment takes place in our shared service center in Hungary)

Monitor the expenses and suggest cost reductions where possible.

Miscellaneous :

Support the country managers on ad-hoc financial requests

Act as a business partner to the operations management team

Minimum Requirements :

Education :

Degree in accounting (D.E.C.F level required)

Experience and Knowledge :

Minimum 6 years work experience in accounting

Experience in VAT

Experience in Annual report preparation

Experience in audit

Personal Attributes :

Good communication skills including local and English language proficiency;

Strong ability to work in a team

Willing and capable to take initiatives, positive attitude
