About this role :

This is a great opportunity to join the Global Media team at Just Eat Takeaway - a team responsible for the media strategy, planning and execution across 12 markets in Europe.

We need a Senior Media Manager who will be in charge of the media strategy and implementation across Austria & Belgium. This role is all about understanding our business challenges, getting under the skin of our consumers and devising the best media strategies for your markets.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role :

  • Accountable for the day-to-day planning and execution of media  campaigns in your portfolio of countries.
  • Responsible for articulating these strategies and plans to wider teams in a simple and compelling way.
  • Ownership of specific budget lines for your markets and be held accountable for media performance.
  • You will work closely with our Regional Marketing teams to understand local business challenges and opportunities, which you will translate into coherent agency briefs and strategies for your markets.
  • As the main point of contact for the Media agency in your markets, your role is to lead and inspire the team to deliver best in class media plans.  You will get your agency team excited about our business as well as challenge them on their strategic thinking, planning and execution.
  • At Just Eat Takeaway, we like to get close to the details, so you will be highly involved in commercial negotiations with media vendors, alongside the Media agency.
  • A media expert, you will work hand in hand with our award-winning Brand team and make sure campaigns are underpinned by the right media mix to maximise their impact.
  • The Insights team will be your closest allies - they will help you understand market trends and consumer behaviour, as well as help you predict trends and campaign impact.
  • We have a brilliant in house Digital team that buys our digital media and a key responsibility is working closely with that team to deliver a holistic media strategy and plans for your markets.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest media trends and being able to articulate key opportunities to the wider marketing community. Colleagues will turn to you for insights and guidance, with no unnecessary jargon in the way.
  • In addition to your day-to-day market responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to run projects on behalf of the whole Global Media team.

What will you bring to the table?

  • Extensive experience in Media
  • Ability to plan multimedia media campaigns end to end
  • Proficient English speaking.
  • You have a track record of managing high budget media campaigns, either as a brand side or agency side lead, involved in key steps of the media buying process (strategy, planning, buying, reporting).
  • A firm but friendly negotiator, you have previously had a chance to put your influencing skills to the test, and strike the right deal(s) for your company.
  • A big picture person, you are able to take a step back from the details and think strategically about how media can impact key business metrics
  • You are a strong communicator, able to adapt your style to the level of expertise of your audience
  • An analytical mind, not afraid of getting your hands dirty, understanding the details of a media plan and thoroughly assessing performance.
