Proposal Engineer Electrical & Automation

Are you an Electrical & Automation Engineer looking for a challenging opportunity in the Netherlands? Do you have a commercial mindset and the ability to draft compelling technical and financial proposals? If so, you’ve just found your next career step!

Function

In this position you will work with a team to develop proposals that meet customer needs and industry standards for shipbuilding projects. After winning a tender, you’ll ensure a smooth handover to the engineering team.

Specific duties in this role include :

Assist with equipment selection and budget planning.
Design system architectures (like power distribution and automation systems).
Check designs against project requirements and prepare reports.
Write technical documents and reports to explain designs to customers and subcontractors.
Participate in discussions on technical and commercial aspects of projects.
Collaborate with internal departments and support cost evaluations.

Requirements

We are looking for a technical and commercial engineer with strong writing skills and the ability to deliver detailed technical content. Additionally, the following requirements should be met :

Technical Bachelor or Master level related to electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.

At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical design concepts and practices, preferably acquired in complex maritime projects.

Excellent communication skills in English. Willingness to learn Dutch is a job requirement.

Flexible to travel whenever required, for client meetings and site visits.

Offer

The company offers you all necessary training to develop yourself along with 38 holiday days per year. The base salary for this position depends on your experience and capabilities. Furthermore, we provide all assistance to candidates who relocate to the Netherlands.
