Nillion is humanity’s first Blind Computer. It is powered by a decentralized network of nodes that enables “Blind Computation” through the coordination and orchestration of privacy enhancing technologies (PETs) such as multi-party computation (MPC) and homomorphic encryption (HE). Nillion believes Blind Computation will become the internet’s base layer for all private data as PETs continue to mature. Nillion has attracted a notable initial cohort of Blind Computation builders across AI, DeFi, medical data, custody, wallets, global identity, messaging and much more.

As reported by TechCrunch, Nillion in the midst of the bear market of 2022 raised the highest valuation for a Seed Round reported in Q4-2022. The project has attracted some of the top talent in tech, including the Founder of Indiegogo (Slava Rubin), Associate General Counsel of Coinbase   (Lindsay Danas Cohen), Co-Founder of Hedera Hashgraph (Andrew Masanto) and several other high profile team members .

As Head of Business Development at Nillion, you will lead the expansion of our web3 ecosystem by forging strategic partnerships with developers, entrepreneurs, and enterprises. Your technical expertise, crypto-native mindset, and strategic vision will position Nillion as a trusted leader in the market, fostering meaningful collaborations that drive innovation and mutual success. By building a thriving network of partnerships, you will play a critical role in advancing Nillion’s mission to enable continuous growth and transformative technology adoption.

Nillion is a remote-first organization primarily focused on European and US East Coast time zones. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships management, or ecosystem growth within the web3 industry.
  • Strong technical expertise in blockchain and decentralized technologies, including Privacy Enhancing Technologies (e.g., zero-knowledge proofs, homomorphic encryption, MPC).
  • Proven track record of sourcing and nurturing partnerships, consistently surpassing traction targets.
  • Skills in inbound / outbound lead generation and pipeline management, utilizing tools like Pipedrive or Airtable.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial, thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess opportunities, evaluate synergies, and create growth strategies.
  • Passion for web3 innovation and a commitment to driving meaningful impact through cutting-edge technology.

Nice to Haves

  • Strong technical expertise in blockchain and decentralized technologies, including Privacy Enhancing Technologies (e.g., zero-knowledge proofs, homomorphic encryption, MPC).
  • Deep understanding of crypto-native concepts such as DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, smart contracts, and Dapps.
  • Experience developing and managing grant or funding programs, including setting objectives and conducting due diligence.
  • Familiarity with network effects and their role in shaping web3 ecosystems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering, business) with a preference for a technical background.
  • Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic framework for growing Nillion’s web3 ecosystem, identifying key verticals and tailoring approaches to onboard developers, startups, and enterprises.
  • Leverage network effects to design strategies that amplify sourcing and accelerate growth.
  • Actively source and evangelize partners, from developers to enterprises, collaborating with solutions and product to evaluate team’s fit for Nillion
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with prospective partners, serving as their primary point of contact and driving mutual success.
  • Facilitate technical discussions with partners to demonstrate Nillion’s technology capabilities, working with solutions engineering to address technical queries and ensure alignment with partner needs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities, translating insights into actionable strategies to maintain Nillion’s competitive edge.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-partner collaboration to enhance the ecosystem’s value proposition.
  • Represent Nillion at industry events, conferences, and webinars, contributing thought leadership to elevate the company’s reputation within the web3 community.
