Your Impact

As a Data Science & AI Practice Lead at Ordina, you’ll put to use your proven knowledge and skills to good use in helping top-class players and developing the careers of a talented team.

You’ll create opportunities and apply your skills together with your team to real scenarios and in different domains, such as the discovery and investigation of payment flows at governmental entities, fraud detection at banks, the development of recommendation systems in the retail sector, and the optimization of supply chains.

We are active in themes such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), AI Ops and Explainable A.I. (XAI). You’ll carry out creation, development and implementation of solutions with Machine Learning & Deep Learning at our clients and assess the quality and performance of existing predictive models through to bringing and keeping them into production.

Ordina North is the Digital Transformation partner for customers in the North. We advise on business challenges through smart IT technology and our extensive knowledge on executing change. We use our (regional) market and customer knowledge and use this as a basis to advise and realize change in the area of business, organization, IT & Data.

Our teams work on challenging assignments in which professional growth, cooperation and achieving results are key.

Ordina North plays an important role in realizing the (IT) ambitions of our customers. In addition to the Data Practice, Ordina North has 3 other advisory teams : Digital Product Management, Organization and Team Transformation, Strategy & Business Design. There are also three Development teams in the field of Java, Microsoft & Frontend as well as a team focused on Agile Testing. Together with your colleagues, you will bring expertise and experience on an organizational as well as a technical level to our clients.

Within Ordina North you will set up a newly built practice in our Area, you will be part of our management team in Groningen and support in developing our future direction in accordance with Ordina / Sopra Steria strategy

Thanks to your clear vision on Data Science & AI you translate this into strategic and tactical steps for your practice and are the motor of further growth.

Developing and integrating AI services as part of the digital transformation and future workforce within the target group and deliver more value to the customer is key.

You also actively advise our diverse range of clients, helping to open up new opportunities and adopt the right approach.

You delight in attracting new team members and in mentoring, training and coaching your team to take their talents forward.

This is you

Your responsibilities

You will form and lead a team of 5-10 consultants, specialized in the various aspects of Data Science & AI : Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data Foundation, Data Analysis, Data integration of Artificial Intelligence methods and results, etc.

You take your practice forward in diverse areas : project-based, strategic, FTE growth and employee engagement. You don't do this alone, of course. You will be assisted by your motivated team, your management colleagues, and other experts.

You contribute to our Data Strategy to make our clients intelligent and data-driven organizations

You spot talent and are actively involved in the selection process of new colleagues

With support from HR, you are responsible for the successful onboarding of your new Ordina team members

You have a clear vision & ideas about Data & AI and its place within digital & business transformation processes. Together with the management team, you successfully expand and realize these ideas & vision.

You focus on solutions and success

This is you

Master's degree or the equivalent in experience in a Data Science field as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, MLOps, or Software Engineer

You can communicate fluently in Dutch ;

You are passionate about people and, thanks to your human skills, you can create the right climate in which to develop your colleagues and teams to their full potential.

Communication comes easily and, combined with your commercial mind, dealing with customers and develop new opportunities comes naturally.

As an excellent multitasker, you always keep a keen eye on your internal and external partners.

Demonstrated experience in people management and a entrepreneurial mindset

Experience in some of the following Data Science techniques : supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms deep learning anomaly detection recommender systems natural language processing computer vision and reinforcement learning autoencoders, transformers, forecasting

Experience in one of the following languages : Python R

Experience in bringing Data Science solutions / software to production (Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)

Experience in building and implementing advanced analytics solutions and you can provide some reference cases

In-depth knowledge of open-source software and libraries in Python and / or R for machine and deep learning

Experience in big data and platforms such as Azure Machine Learning Services and Amazon SageMaker is an advantage
