Location : Schiedam

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Provide expert legal counsel on complex local and international matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes contracts and agreements across various business units with a focus on corporate transactions (M&A) and commercial agreements in close collaboration with other disciplines.
  • Serve as a key legal advisor in business strategy, contributing to decision-making processes.
  • Manage relationships with external legal firms, overseeing case handling and budget control.
  • Represent Mammoet in negotiations and legal proceedings, ensuring the company's best interests are protected.
  • Lead legal risk assessments and proactively identify solutions to mitigate potential risks.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation, ensuring the business adapts to new legal requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Master’s degree in business law or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in legal affairs within an international commercial environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in corporate transactional work (M&A) and commercial law.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to take initiative and act decisively.
  • Commitment to principles and values, ensuring alignment with legal and ethical standards.
  • Effective networking and relationship-building skills for successful cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical skills to interpret and respond to complex legal information.
