Stichting White Helmets Foundation (SWHF) is a Dutch non-profit dedicated to aiding communities in crises, supporting refugees, and promoting justice and human rights. The Data Analyst will support the White Helmets Investigation Support and Case-building Unit, focusing on data verification and analysis to aid justice processes related to Syria.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities :
- Analyze closed-source information from the White Helmets archive to advance investigations into core crimes in Syria
- Verify images and videos using open-source information, and geolocate and chronolocate relevant incidents
- Identify and merge new data sources with existing ones to provide OSINT-powered insights
- Perform data entry and cleaning for databases compiling evidence on incidents, perpetrators, and victims
- Present factual findings and draft analytical reports and assessments
- Coordinate with team members to resolve complex issues in information review, analysis, and investigation
- Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of the WH investigation database
- Assist investigators with summaries, corroboration checks, and sourcing reports or analytical products
