Your role

FMO is seeking a Business Analyst / Technical Application manager. Someone with a lot of technical experience (like scripting and working with power automated flows) and knowledge of Office 365. Expect to become a key expert in the team when a technical Office 365 solution is requested. At the same time, finding a balance between taking up the challenge of creating the solution by yourself or pushing it to our 3rd line support and guarding the standards FMO has set. As part of an agile team, you’ll ensure that FMO has the business processes and IT systems to deliver financial services to entrepreneurs in developing countries.

You’ll need to understand FMO’s products, processes, and organization and interact with colleagues in the business to identify and define the right solutions for their needs. That could involve anything from streamlining processes to exploring and implementing new technologies.

You are ambitious, passionate and have a drive for excellence. You take ownership and do not shy away from responsibility. You accept the challenge to dive into PowerShell scripts to figure out the complexity of what’s happening in the script to solve an issue. But also align with our Infrastructure counterparts to address security vulnerabilities within the settings of the Microsoft Admin centers.

Our offer

The salary range for this role is around € 75-85 K (full-time gross per year), depending on your experience.

Your team

FMO has almost completed the transition into cross-functional Agile teams. These teams are end-to-end responsible for certain Products, with the advantage of being self-steering teams within set boundaries. The Workplace Application Team is such an Agile team within the Shared Services Domain.

The products for which the Workplace Application Team is responsible are :

  • Office 365 (Teams​, SharePoint​, PowerApps​, Power Automate​, Power BI), TOPdesk​, TimeTell​, BizTalk​, Orchestrator​, DocuSign​, Correct Filling.

We are not limited to providing functional and technical support, but also support all solutions built on or used with these products. For example, we support solutions built with Power Apps and flows built with Power Automate.​ The team also provides training on how to use these products efficiently.

Our team's purpose : to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across FMO, ​​we improve business-supporting applications and ​​provide training and support to our colleagues in ​​using these applications effectively.​

Your background

Your personality is key for us! You are analytical and well-structured because you like to proceed systematically. You are an excellent communicator, and you take care in articulating your thought process and providing feedback on the work of others. You are a good listener, continuously asking questions and translating the message into concrete actions.

You are result-oriented, aiming to achieve end results that meet the time, quality, and cost criteria. You are excited to discover the abilities within Office 365 and use that to advise on its usage, including tools like CoPilot, Power Automate, and Power BI.

Given the growing environment (approximately 8000 sites), manual maintenance is no longer effective, so you should be able to translate manual actions into solid, maintainable scripts.

In your education, you possess a bachelor’s degree (HBO), having knowledge in one or more of the following areas and / or systems is an advantage : Office 365 administration certification or SharePoint administrator certification.

You have several years of experience in a similar role, and the ideal candidate will be :

You are experienced in requirements engineering, translating business (preferably banking) issues into IT solutions, considering several preconditions. Familiar with best practices ( specification by example, user stories)

You have experience in managing and maintaining Office 365 applications (Office 365 Admin centers, PNP PowerShell experience, SQL, and building Power Automate flows

You have an affinity with the technical part of application management and making choices to transform current solutions into Office 365 solutions using the Power platform (or choose not to in some cases)

You have experience with Service Oriented Architecture concepts

You have experience with PNP PowerShell, GraphAPI, CSOM scripting

Familiarity with corporate banking processes, such as KYC, Treasury, Risk Management, Payment Processing, and Regulatory Reporting, would be an advantage. This would allow us to understand the needs of our internal clients and translate this into building adequate Office 365 solutions.
