Exide Technologies' Energy Solutions division is developing and manufacturing stationary energy storage batteries, from backup power to large-scale storage systems (BESS and C&I). Exide´s technology portfolio spans from multiple lead-acid over to lithium-ion technologies supporting the global energy transition and digitalization. Our storage systems are used in UPS, Telecom, Datacenters, Public Transport, in Front-of- and Behind-the-Meter applications and many more.

For our fast growing division Energy Solutions, at the earliest possible date we are looking for a Sales Manager BESS (M / F / X) .

This role is based in our facility in Helmond (The Netherlands) , which is focused on the development and system integration of lithium-ion based C&I and BESS storage systems to integrate renewable energies.

Responsibilities

  • The Sales Manager will search for new business and develop the business in line with the agreed strategy. He / She will provide estimates of the potential pipeline, but also of new and prospect accounts. It's important to have a clear strategy and development plan for each.
  • The Sales Manager will maintain regular contact and regular visits to all agreed key account to ensure the company is providing high standards of service.
  • The Sales Manager will work cross functionally with all resources to resolve specific customer performance issues within the time requirements of the agreed key accounts.
  • The Sales Manager will work with Marketing to develop industry / customer specific marketing programs to grow the business in the agreed markets. Monitor and track where appropriate market trends.
  • Education : Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or similar with a proven track record in sales.

Required Skills

  • We are looking for someone with a minimum of 10 years experience in a similar function in the sales management and also with experience in developing customer relationships and in negotiating.
  • Knowledge and understanding how to grow the key account business, Proven ability to 'sell up'. Knowledge of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Market. Knowledge & understanding of all products and applications.
  • Self starter and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to create and write informative reports on customer visits.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
