The position

As a Data Engineer at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects along the years, based on your experience and interests. Projects within industries such as Banking, Fintech, Telco, Retail, Sports and Healthcare.

What you bring to the position

  • At least 5 years of experience as a developer with expertise in Go, SQL, Spark, and possibly Python.
  • Proven experience in designing and maintaining Data Lakehouse solutions and Data Warehouses (DWH).
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts, including data ingestion, processing, and storage strategies for batch and streaming data.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes , containerized workflows, and microservices.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying solutions in cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Experience with data lineage, monitoring, and dashboarding, particularly using Marquez, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and developing digital products.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, preferably also in Dutch

Nice to have

  • Experience with Databricks
  • Familiarity with GitOps and Argo Workflows .
  • Experience with Azure as a cloud platform.
  • Expertise in setting up and troubleshooting network connectivity.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform .
  • Familiarity with Data Build Tool.
  • Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
  • Knowledge of best practices for cloud-native application development and deployment.
