You and your job

You will be working in a dynamic environment, where you will serve as a central figure of (meta)data. Collaborating with colleagues you are accountable for advice, implementation and oversight on the enterprise-wide implementation of our data management standard and procedures. The Global Data Management chapter is tasked with establishing a global data management policy and implementation guidelines. This is a rapidly evolving field undergoing a data-driven transformation! As a consultant, you will assist stakeholders and facilitate the implementation of data management initiatives and practices. Practical examples

• Work together with Tribes and Chapters throughout the organization to help implement our (meta)data management standard and procedures (i.e. data lineage, data definitions).
• Help Rabobank execute on the Critical Execution Priority (CEP) on Data Management by making business critical reports and models compliant to our standard and procedures.
• Provide guidance (stakeholders) and inspiration (literacy program) to improve data management awareness and maturity throughout the Rabobank enterprise.
• Help the team in developing a data management vision and strategy based on developing technologies like i.e. AI but also further automation of our approach.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Sparring partner : As a sparring partner and consultant you will support stakeholders on the topic of (meta)Data Management, and support the cross departmental implementation of different data management practices.
• Data Management inspiration : inspire and improve the data management mindset of our stakeholders. Help us improve our guidelines, our way of working, our processes and underlying workflows.
• Policy creation : Together with stakeholder shape the future of Data Management within Rabobank, by developing the procedures regarding data management and governance.

The Chapter Global Data Management is one of 4 chapters in the Chapter Data & Analytics. The others 3 are : Data Protection, Global AI and D&A Academy and Development Centre. The Chapter Data & Analytics sets the direction for the data driven enterprise.

You and your Talent

• You have a academic working and thinking level and have 3-5 years experience in data & analytics within large (financial) organization(s).
• You are an experienced data management professional (5+ years). Passionate about data, guided by this passion to make the difference for you and your team members.
• Knowledge of DAMA DMBoK, and specifically proven experience with metadata management topics (e.g. Data Lineage, Data Definitions, Reference Data)
• Able to communicate, inspire, motivate in Dutch and English.
• Demonstrable experience in working in complex banking environments, speak the language of various stakeholders and inspire them to play their responsible part.
