Business Compliance Officer – Global Capital Markets

About the Role
We are currently seeking a Business Compliance Officer (BCO) to join our Global Capital Markets department – a specialised team offering management, trustee, and administration services across a wide range of securitisation and structured finance transactions. Renowned for our expertise and client-centric approach, we are committed to building long-term partnerships with our clients and stakeholders.
As a BCO, you will play a crucial role in client onboarding, periodic reviews, event driven reviews and compliance processes, acting as the link between the client, client team, and our central Compliance function. You will work closely with (Senior) Company Lawyers, ensuring compliance is embedded in our daily operations and client files.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Compliance Officer , your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to :
- Act as the compliance expert and point of contact within the client team.
- Prepare and manage client acceptance documentation for all new entities.
- Coordinate and execute the onboarding, periodic review and event driven process, ensuring alignment with internal and regulatory standards.
- Advise on transaction monitoring activities within the team.
- Coordinate requests and queries from the Compliance and CDD departments.
- Implement new compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks within the team.
- Represent the client team in Acceptance Committee meetings and contribute to decision-making.
- Collaborate effectively within the team and support others in achieving shared goals.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply sound judgement in assessing compliance matters, considering all relevant facts and alternatives.
- Take initiative to drive compliance improvements and proactively manage issues.
- Gather and analyse relevant information from multiple sources to support compliance decisions.
- Deliver results with a strong focus on execution, meeting deadlines and project objectives.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in all compliance-related tasks.
- Influence and persuade others to adopt best practices in line with regulatory expectations.
Your profile
A bachelor’s degree in law (or equivalent).Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the corporate services or financial industry.Knowledge of, or willingness to gain deep understanding of, Dutch regulatory frameworks, particularly Wtt 2018 (preferred), Wwft 2018, and Sanctions regulations.Strong analytical mindset with a pragmatic, detail-oriented approach.Excellent command of English and Dutch (spoken and written).Confident drafting and organisational skills.LI-EO1
