Indirect Procurement Lead and Logistics Manager EMENA

About the role :

This dual role consists of two main responsibilities : 1) leading our Indirect Procurement team; and 2) directly managing our largest Indirect Procurement category : Logistics. As a team leader , you will manage goals, objectives, and performance; as well as provide mentorship and coordination to the team; while maintaining general oversight of the Indirect Procurement spend and categories.

Critical Objectives :

The Indirect Procurement Lead and Logistics Manager for EMENA will play a pivotal role in developing and executing procurement strategies to leverage spend, optimize costs, streamline processes, reduce risks, and ensure the timely and efficient sourcing of goods and services across our operations.

Regional Leadership :

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Indirect Procurement strategy for the EMENA region, aligned with global Procurement transformational goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, and development to our team of Indirect Procurement category managers.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Indirect Procurement team.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of category strategies, contract negotiations, compliance to policies, risk mitigation, costs savings, and value creation for various Indirect Procurement Categories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across different functions.

    • Logistics Category Management :

  • Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for all Logistics subcategories.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify industry trends, best practices, and potential sourcing opportunities.
  • Lead RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ) processes and negotiate contracts with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics suppliers.

    • Requirements and Prior Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree (Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations or Engineering) required, Master's degree a plus.
  • 7+ years work experience in Indirect Procurement.
  • Team lead / management experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
