Summary
As Senior Cable Design Engineer, your key responsibility will be to ensure that the High Voltage Submarine Cable Systems for our EPC subsea cable installation projects are designed, manufactured and tested as per our requirements and project specifications. You will be part of a small, international team, supported and coached by an experienced manager. In this position you will collaborate closely with suppliers, clients and various internal stakeholders, and you will contribute to our vision : creating a sustainable future.

Follow up the HV cable and accessories design and manufacturing, from the early project tendering phases, through to contracting, manufacturing, until delivery of the cable onto the Cable Installation Vessel;
review design and technical manufacturing documentation related to cables.
manage client reviews and make sure the documentation is finalized and agreed by the client in time;
follow up on Inspection and Test Plans and Type Test Plans;
assist in pre-manufacturing factory audits;
provide expertise for termination and testing of HV cables;
witness routine and type tests at the supplier or testing facility
provide expert advice in case of non conformities during manufacturing and testing;
follow up the latest innovations related to cables, accessories, monitoring systems, etc :
perform root cause analysis for observed electrical phenomena;
provide expertise to more junior colleagues.
Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline;
at least 5 years of experience in designing subsea electrical power systems;
interest in aspects surrounding cable and cable accessories systems, such as installation engineering, commercial activities, cable manufacturing and project management;
ability to explain complex items;
ability to prioritize and meet deadlines;
team player and customer oriented;
fluent in verbal and written English;
flexible attitude to work in the office and occasionally abroad.
