About the role

In the role of Financial Accountant, you are part of the Finance & Administration team of Destinus. Divided over the different locations, this team consists of the (Group) CFO, Finance Manager, Financial Accountants and a Finance & Office Assistant. In the position of Financial Accountant, you are responsible for preparing the financial statements for our company, and executing and optimizing various financial processes of our European branches.

Key responsibilities

• Processing incoming and outgoing invoices and the associated bank transactions.
• Creating reports for accounts payable and accounts receivable. You are also the first point of contact for customers and suppliers.
• Internally, you are the first point of contact for project management and purchasing.
• Processing intercompany transactions and the monthly reconciliation of these transactions.
• Processing VAT returns on time.
• Performing financial checks on ongoing projects.
• Preparing and checking management reports (weekly and monthly).
• Performing monthly closing activities on time so that MT reports and reports for internal and external stakeholders can be drawn up.
• Performing activities for financial audits.
• Other tasks that recur regularly to guarantee correct and timely reporting.
