The Business Development Manager is :

  • Driving new business development by identifying, researching, and qualifying new leads.
  • Ensuring that sales qualified leads (SQLs) are converting to opportunities and supporting sales pipeline growth.
  • Overseeing sales pipeline growth via high volume of outbound cold calls, emails, and social selling.
  • Identifying client needs through assessing their current fulfillment setup and using discretionary judgment to assess if they are a fit for our business model.
  • Making adjustment recommendations to customer, where our processes do not “fit the box” on their end.
  • Scheduling demos with potential customers and Onboarding Managers.
  • Achieving daily activity requirements through outbound merchant contact and accurately tracking customer interactions in the designated customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement across sales operations and make recommendations to executive leadership for streamlining process.
  • Developing and nurturing the relations with key customer accounts.
  • Reporting status on goals.
  • Consistently exceeding monthly and annual quota.
  • Possessing a strong understanding of company products and services and knowledge about the ones offered by the competition.
  • Keeping up with the latest industry developments
  • Presenting entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time-bound.
  • Acting as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies

Required :

  • Experience . 5+ years of successful experience as BDM in a related industry. Efficiency in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients. Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills . Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships. Competency in negotiating and closing business deals.
  • Market knowledge . Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion. Exceptional ability to analyse market trends and competitor behaviour.
  • E-commerce savviness . Exceptional knowledge and understanding of e-commerce fulfillment and SME market.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in sales environment of B2C e-commerce merchants.
  • Experience selling over the phone and smart calling various typer of businesses or merchants.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of diligence and accountability.
  • Ability to track and forecast pipeline growth and forecast potential blockers.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience using CRM software to track sales activities.
  • Strong influential and communication skills (verbal written and presentation)
  • Excellent relationship building skills with internal business stakeholders and technical teams, as well as external partners.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Enthusiasm, excitement, creativity as well as a willingness to learn, contribute and innovate
  • Preferred :

  • Previous experience as a BDM in B2C fulfillment industry in Europe.
