This is an exceptional opportunity to build and influence the data landscape of our organization! This is a hybrid role, combining both virtually and from the Rotterdam office.

What you will do

As the Data Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of our new cloud data warehouse, integrating global and regional environments. Your main focus will be on creating robust data architectures and implementing effective governance strategies, with a particular emphasis on Azure cloud solutions, Databricks to drive digital transformation.

• Architect and Develop : Conceptualize, design, implement, and develop a comprehensive warehouse architecture.
• Roadmap Creation : Create a roadmap aligned with business and tech strategy to ensure coherent progress and integration.
• Governance : Implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.
• Leadership : Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data engineering team in implementing architectural designs.
• Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Innovation : Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in data architecture strategies and best practices.
• Migration : Lead the migration of databases from Snowflake to Databricks.

This is who you are

You have extensive experience (minimum of 5 years) in data architecture, with a focus on cloud-based solutions. Proficiency in Databricks and Azure platforms and experience with data modeling techniques. Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
