HGT delivers streamlined terminal operations for all shipping line customers and brings together a portfolio of 20 port terminals and complementary logistics services in 11 countries and on four continents : Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa. The Position
HGT is growing rapidly and due to this we created a new role as Finance Director Controlling. As Finance Director Controlling you will lead the entire Controlling Team. In this function you oversee all the departmental activities and ensure that (junior) controlling managers execute their duties efficiently. You will also review and monitor the performance of the controlling department by placing the right set of indicators and directing actions.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and support the controlling team (>

Develop internal control guidelines, policies and procedures for monthly, quarterly and annual results, quarterly forecasts, budgets, plan / actual deviations and administration in line with the policies of the Hapag-Lloyd Group;Conduct, coordinate and direct budgeting, financial planning (integrated business planning), investment and consolidation activities in line with the Hapag-Lloyd Group;Manage the roll-out of existing HGT Performance Management System to all asset’s portfolio to monitor financial data and accurate KPI collection;Provide support in terms of analysis and consulting to management, particularly in commercial, operational and financial matters;Formulate and develop performance management reporting within the HGT;Regular and ad-hoc analyses of P&L (revenue, cost) and the balance sheet;Prepare and present financial reports and relevant documents in view of Board Meetings;Support ad-hoc requests as needed to drive HGT its’ organizational performance.Candidate Profile
Proven experience as a controlling leader (>10 years);
Experience in P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow;Knowledge of terminal businesses, ideally of container terminals;Strong communication and teamwork qualities as well as confident attitude when interacting with Senior Management;Ability to challenge and improve current processes, financial results and strategic plans;Experience in interdisciplinary project work with different departments;Proven experience as team leader and genuine interest in developing people and teams;Excellent command of written and spoken English (Spanish or German is an advantage);Strong knowledge with relevant BI tools (e.g. QlikView, Infor) and operational systems (SAP CO, COMPASS);Excellent command of MS Office.Apply online looking for something else?
