To strengthen this commitment, we are looking for an Environmental Lead to drive the environmental pillar within the CSR program. In this role, you will translate the CSR guidelines and goals into clear actions and improvement projects. By assessing the current status of the environmental pillar at all the different Zeelandia locations, you will shape standardized sustainability policies and implement an integrated environmental program across the organization.
Function
- Responsible for the exploration, creation and implementation of sustainability policies, focusing on clean energy, emission reduction, waste management and responsible sourcing
- Translate the CSR strategy into measurable KPI’s and standardize data collection across the Zeelandia locations
- Initiate and lead improvement projects to reduce CO₂ emissions, waste and pollution, and enhance biodiversity
- Collect, analyze and challenge environmental data and practices of third parties within Scope 3, such as suppliers of raw materials, packaging and equipment
- Align and oversee environmental initiatives and progress across the different production and sales locations throughout Europe
- Ensure all initiatives comply with relevant environmental standards, regulations and reporting requirements
- Engage with external stakeholders including governance bodies, FEDIMA and NGOs, to align and strengthen sustainability goals
- Report to the Global Director CSR and collaborate closely with the CSR Program and People Lead.
Profile
Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability or a related technical fieldProven experience in managing environmental programs; familiarity with sustainability strategy and ESG reporting is a plusHas strong change management skills and the ability to make compelling business cases aligned with CSR objectivesIs eager to pioneer and develop innovative, effective solutions to complex sustainability challengesIs capable of critically assessing situations and asking the right questions, can provide structure and sees the bigger pictureExcellent stakeholder management skills; able to connect with people and engage at all levels, both internally and externallyEnjoys working in an international environment and is willing to travel within Europe (approximately 30% of the time)Key characteristics : proactive, data-driven, creative, independent, analytical, adaptable and tenacious.Respond to
