Contract Analyst

Petrobras Global Trading B.V. is part of Petrobras Group, one of the largest producers of oil and gas in the world, primarily engaged in exploration and production, refining, energy generation and trading, with over 49,000 employees.

Petrobras Global Trading B.V. act as Petrobras' main entity in its external trading activities, exporting and importing crude oil & products, also offering to its customers worldwide, trading support services. PGT is responsible for more than 60% of Petrobras’ trading operations in the external market (100% of crude oil exports).

Role :

Review and drafting commercial contracts related to of the sale and purchase of Crude Oil and Petroleum Products. Ensure that the terms agreed between parties are correctly stated in the contract, as well as the compliance of the wording of documents associated to the contract, such as Letter of Indemnity (LOI), Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC), Parent Company Guarantee (PCG), e-SDS (safety data sheet).

Responsibilities :

• Assist the trading desk regarding the deals concluded on behalf of PGT, purchase and sale, ensuring that the terms agreed between the parties are correctly stated in the contract
• Send to the client the commercial contract; analyze possible amendments requested by the clients;
• Analyze the commercial contracts sent by suppliers and request amendments to the counterparty when contract is not following the agreed terms;
• Contract administration – responsible to keep a contract control and record for all contract-related correspondence and documentation;
• Be familiar with contract terms and conditions of each contract including our counterparties’ specific General Terms and Conditions (Companies’ GT&C’s), Incoterms (International Commercial Terms published by the International Chamber of Commerce, ICC, relating to international commercial law, which are intended primarily to clearly communicate the tasks, costs, and risks associated with the global or international transportation and delivery of goods);
• Develop innovative ways to improve internal processes;
• Identify risks and improvements in the contracts, suggesting alternative wording / amendments, benchmarking the best practices in the market related to contract wording / practices;
• Interface with different internal stakeholders (traders; commercial operators; legal team; demurrage team; finance;)
• Handle projects and demands when required;
• Assisting our operations team on writing formal communication such as notices or any equivalent, whenever required;
