Attentix the recruitment company for Logistics and Transport industry is looking for a motivated Operations Manager in Central Netherlands.
The Manager, Operations is responsible for managing a group of clients Pod. This includes visiting the clients on a regular basis and providing support and reporting to clients as needed. This position is also responsible for managing the P&L of the team, as well as designing, executing, maintaining and reporting on standard work processes to ensure that the transportation solution for each account is fully maintained for accuracy and efficiency.
What Will You Do :
Proactively identify and communicate issues, propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement regarding processes, cost, service, and profitability
Conflict resolution and problem solving
Train and develop team across multiple positions and responsibilities
Responsible for training and career development of direct reports including 1 on 1’s, coaching, sequential performance reviews and mentoring
Develop and distribute customer reports and internal performance management reports
Rate Quotes
Monitor and hold team accountable for all key job functions
Establish and maintain effective relationships with all internal and external customers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses
Leverage knowledge and understanding of Modes, Rates, Weights, Volumes, Pallets, etc. based on Customer's shipping requirements
Analyze reporting to make data driven decisions
Review, analyze, and own all matters related to P&Ls
Deliver cost savings cost containment to customer andor company
Work closely with Strategic Account Management group to maintain and grow business with the customer; incorporating ROI delivered to customer over the life of the contract
Travel to clients
Basic Qualifications :
Minimal degree University of Applied Sciences HBO
Minimum 5 years of experience in transportlogistics
Minimum 3 years of managing the P&L of a department
Must be based in the Netherlands and be open to a hybrid work schedule
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain Management
2 years of people leadership experience
Good knowledge of TMS
Good experience with Ocean Freight
Process improvement andor Lean Six Sigma certification
Intermediate proficiency within Microsoft Office Suite
