As a Telecommunication Lead Engineer, you will lead and manage the development of telecommunication systems for complex offshore energy projects. From conceptualization to detailed design, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality systems aligned with regulatory and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop system designs, including documentation such as philosophies, layouts, and specifications.
- Act as package engineer for telecommunication systems, conducting technical bid evaluations.
- Ensure integration of vendor systems and subsystems.
- Oversee and manage telecom team workflows, including layouts, diagrams, and material take-offs.
- Review and approve vendor data and subcontractor documents.
- Guarantee compliance with regulations, classifications, and client standards.
- Provide training to junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.Minimum 8 years of experience in telecommunications systems design within the offshore oil & gas industry.Expertise in telecommunication systems for marine applications and hazardous areas.Proficient in systems like VSAT, PAGA, LAN / WIFI, navigational equipment, and FPSO-specific telecommunication tools.Experience managing remote teams and complex interfaces.Leadership skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.Willingness to travel and operate in an international context.Our client is a leading service provider for high-end floating production units and mooring systems in the international offshore industry.
