DATA ARCHITECT

  • Faber LABS
  • Veemarktkade 8, 's-Hertogenbosch

Hey, Data Architect. Are you ready to change the world of supply chain forever? Nice to meet you, we are Faber LABS, a brand-new division of Faber Group that is launched to digitalize our load carrier business models. With endless possibilities to make supply chains more sustainable, transparent, and efficient, we need your engineering and problem-solving skills to achieve our goals. Ready to take on the challenge?

Your role as Data Architect

As a Data Architect, you will play a critical role in ensuring we reach our goals. It is essential for the entire business that the ingoing & outgoing flows are set up robustly, that data is properly monitored & governed, and that we have a proper harmonized data model. You will ensure that we have a well-designed & well-functioning data platform that contains data from all our divisions centralized in one place. This role requires both conceptual thinking and hands-on work; you will take the lead in devising the plan but will also implement it together with your colleagues.

What you’ll do

  • Flow Architecture : Design the blueprint for how data flows in, is stored, and accessed in our data platform. You will lead discussions across the business on this topic and ensure everyone is consulted and informed.
  • Platform Development : Design, develop, and maintain the data platform, including both conceptual thinking on the best data model specifications and hands-on building of ETL pipelines yourself (together with our Data Engineers).
  • Data Governance : Devise & implement automatic monitoring of pipelines. You will also devise & document data standards and governance policies (including data lineage, GDPR, security), ensuring these are known and agreed upon by the business.
  • Internal Collaboration : Work closely with the business to align on data platform requirements and updates, as well as with your direct teammates, particularly the Data Engineers and the Data Lead.
  • Team Contributions : As our Data team is new, we’d love your input & contribution to further mature the team, e.g. by devising best practices, supporting knowledge sharing, and devising the optimal way of working.
  • What we offer

    Just as you give your best, we do too. We’re all about a work-life balance, making sure you can be all-in your work while being all-in with your hobbies, sportive activities, or time with family and friends.

  • A competitive salary, traveling agreement, pension scheme, and work-from-home allowance;
  • Everything you need to excel at your job : e.g. a laptop, phone, headset, mouse, etc;
  • A visa sponsorship (if required);
  • A hybrid way of working : from our modern office in ‘s Hertogenbosch and your home office;
  • Flexible work hours;
  • Continuous growth opportunities, such as your personal development plan, with room for both internal and external trainings, events & workshops;
  • A lot of freedom and responsibility within the team;
  • Inspiring colleagues with creative, analytical, and innovative minds from across the globe;
  • Monthly activities with the team;
  • A chance to build a whole new team within a brand-new company.

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in a technical field like ICT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent working experience;
  • Around 5-10 years of experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role;
