At our Sunweb Group office in Rotterdam, we're looking for a decisive and customer-focused individual to join our team in a unique role that combines the responsibilities of Customer Care Specialist and Receptionist .

Start date : 1-3-2025

This is a part-time position for 20-32 hours a week. For this position, you will work at our office in Rotterdam ; therefore, living in the Rotterdam area is highly desirable to ensure a convenient commute.

Our Customer Care department handles all contact with our travelers. As a member of our Customer Care team, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers and visitors. You’ll also play a vital role in providing support for all our colleagues working at our office in Rotterdam, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Customer Care Specialist responsibilities :

As a Customer Care Specialist, you advise customers about the most suitable destinations and holiday addresses. You book the trips in our administration systems and, most importantly, you provide the ultimate service before the holiday. You will work for all Sunweb Group brands (Dutch and Flemish markets).

  • Handling all incoming communications prior to holidays via mail, webcare (WhatsApp, social media, and chat)
  • Responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Changing or cancelling existing bookings (implement discount codes in our booking system)

Reception Desk responsibilities :

  • Opening the office at 8 AM, including managing the entrance, lights, and other daily readiness tasks
  • Welcoming staff and visitors while maintaining a professional and organized entry area
  • Operating office phone lines, handling cold-calling situations with tact and efficiency
  • Overseeing facility-related needs, such as cleaning, pantry maintenance, and liaising with service providers like handymen
  • Ensuring compliance with policies regarding packages and mail (e.g., only work-related deliveries)
  • Organizing and maintaining the post area, including proposing improvements if needed
  • Being part of the emergency response team.

  • Proven experience in a similar senior receptionist or customer care role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with an eye for detail.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to enforce policies effectively.
  • Familiarity with office facilities management and experience working with multiple stakeholders.
  • BHV (emergency response) certification or willingness to obtain it promptly.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English , both written and spoken.
  • Able to work at our office in Rotterdam for a minimum of 20 - 32 hours a week.
