SWEETS hotel is a one-of-a-kind hotel located across Amsterdam in 28 different bridge houses. Each bridge house has been designed into a tiny 1-bedroom hotel suite that accommodates 2 people. To complete our young and enthusiastic team, we are looking for an independent housekeeper who likes to cruise around the city on our supersonic electrical cargo bike.

Your working day starts at our atelier / working space, located at Veemarkt - a 15-minute bus or bike ride from Amsterdam Central Station. There, you load the spacious electrical cargo bike with part of the housekeeping equipment - the rest is already stationed at the bridge houses. You head out to visit multiple bridge houses throughout Amsterdam to clean them and, occasionally, help our guests if they have questions. While spotlessly cleaning the bridge houses, you are also inspecting equipment for safety and sanitary conditions, monitoring state of furniture, and reporting need for replacement / repair to your colleagues. Once you have returned to the office, you do a quick check-up on the inventory of materials / linen and order as needed.

As part of the housekeeping team, you are not only responsible for making the bridge houses look stunning and ready for adventurous guests; you are also an important link between our management team, our guests and our hotel rooms!

• an outdoor, sporty person, who dares to be part of the Amsterdam (bike) traffic
• not afraid of rain, wind, snow and sometimes a bloody hot summer day
• willing to work in the weekends and during holidays

Bedrijfsomschrijving

Hotel The Exchange is een eigenzinnig fashion hotel gelegen aan het Damrak, een van de oudste en meest levendige straten van Amsterdam, en is ontwikkeld in nauwe samenwerking met het Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI). Bij Hotel The Exchange is op speelse wijze fashion en hotel design samen gebracht in unieke kamers, die divers en inspirerend zijn en zo de omgeving van het hotel weerspiegelen, het Damrak, de grootste catwalk van Amsterdam.

De oorsprong

Hotel The Exchange is een initiatief van Otto Nan en Suzanne Oxenaar die in 2004 Lloyd Hotel & Culturele Ambassade hebben opgericht. In 2017 verkochten zij het Lloyd Hotel en startten een nieuw bedrijf genaamd “Seven New Things”. Vanuit Seven New Things managen zij Hotel The Exchange, Bar STOCK en SWEETS hotel (hotelkamers in de brugwachtershuisjes van Amsterdam) en werken zij aan andere nieuwe hotelconcepten.

De kamers

Het fashion hotel beschikt over 61 unieke kamers en is gevestigd in drie panden, waarvan het oudste pand dateert uit de zeventiende eeuw. Iedere kamer in Hotel The Exchange kent zijn eigen verhaal en is ontworpen door jonge modeontwerpers van het Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI), designstudio Ina-Matt of ontwerpersduo Maison the Faux. De kamers variëren van één tot vijf sterren. De sterclassificatie zegt iets over de grootte, de faciliteiten, het uitzicht en het design van de kamer.

Na een comfortabele nachtrust kun je iedere dag heerlijk ontbijten in Bar STOCK.
