Job Title : EHS Manager

Type : Contract (Part-time, 24 hours per week)

Location : Meppel, Netherlands (onsite)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for Compliance management in the field of environmental and safety issues with regard to legislation and regulations, Corporate guidelines and SHE management system (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).
  • Coordinate and perform risk analyses and / or RI&E and chair / participate in HAZOP / HAZID studies.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and regulations and ensure follow-up and compliance. Perform audits and (workplace) inspections and analyze the information.
  • Draw up environmental annual report, guide enforcement visits and discussion partner for the municipality.
  • Design and lead site-wide safety, health, and environmental initiatives that align with corporate policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Advise and guide line management and Safety Champs on the work floor in the implementation of control measures and follow-up of CAPAs.
  • Manage permits, coordinate (building) permit applications and contact person for the competent authority.
  • Lead investigations into SHE incidents and near-misses. Ensure root cause analysis and effective corrective / preventive actions are taken.
  • Develop and deliver training programs related to workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and environmental management.
  • Drive environmental performance initiatives, including waste reduction, energy conservation, chemical handling, and water management.
  • Ensure external partners comply with site SHE requirements and manage SHE performance during on-site work.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, CSP, or equivalent professional certification
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, GxP, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering SHE strategies and training
  • Familiarity with SHE software tools, incident tracking, and EHS compliance platforms
  • Fluent Dutch and English required
