March 2025 : De Plesman will open its doors in Scheveningen, The Hague. This brand-new hotel and restaurant concept is located in an iconic building where dunes, forest, city, and beach come together. With 100 hotel rooms, a Lobby / bar, Restaurant Suus, and a deli, this destination is set to become a culinary and hospitality hotspot.

What’s different? They’re bold and looking for someone to help evolve hospitality alongside them. The team is at the heart of the hotel, bringing unique perspectives that make it a truly special place. They want you to help ensure every guest leaves with a bright smile!

Independent Hospitality has been exclusively appointed to recruit the team of Restaurant Suus. We are currently looking for a Pastry Chef to join this exciting venture!

What will you be doing?

  • Creating and preparing a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods;
  • Designing and presenting innovative dessert menus in collaboration with the Head Chef;
  • Ensuring mise-en-place is ready for smooth and efficient service;
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety in the pastry kitchen;
  • Managing inventory and sourcing the best ingredients for your creations;
  • Training and mentoring junior staff within the pastry team.

    Job Requirements :

    What will you bring to the table?

  • You have proven experience in a similar role. You'll be on top of our list if you gained this experience at a 4 / 5-star hotel;
  • Flexibility to work morning and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays;
  • You speak English fluently;
  • You preferably live in the vicinity of The Hague.
