Wholesale Trade Marketing Lead Benelux
We are looking for a Benelux Wholesale Trade Marketing Lead for our Fragrance & Beauty division.
The Trade Marketing Lead will be based in The Netherlands (Amsterdam) and will report to the Benelux Marketing Director. There will be two direct reports (Trade Marketing Manager & Junior Trade Marketing manager).
Your role @ CHANEL :
The Trade Marketing Lead will be responsible for developing and executing effective trade marketing strategies for our Fragrance & Beauty division to drive sales growth, enhance brand visibility & equity, and strengthen relationships with key wholesale partners. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in marketing and exceptional digital marketing expertise. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership abilities, effective negotiation skills, the ability to analyze market trends, and the expertise to create and implement impactful marketing campaigns.
The impact you can create at CHANEL :
- Development of a general yearly trade marketing strategy for Benelux WHS.
- Take the lead for the trade marketing part in the local annual brand planning process.
- Build long-term relationships with our Wholesalers, including regular visits of our key Wholesalers across the Benelux.
- Negotiate the yearly coop investments and plan with the Benelux Wholesalers.
- Develop a yearly sampling plan.
- Forecasting of Trade Marketing Materials.
- Collaboration with several external agencies.
- Own & manage the full Trade Marketing budget .
- Strong knowledge of and skilled with Client Experience & Client Services. Accelerate implementation of these programs within the Benelux in co-operation with the European team.
- Develop a strong & future proof vision on B&M and be able to build a B&M plan that goes beyond the classical trade animations – be able to make the difference vs other brands on the shop floor.
- Acceleration of the digital mindset within trade (both internally and amongst our wholesalers) ->
create a holistic strategic and tactical plan with digital as THE key growth pillar of our BLX business.
Assist Commercial WHS Director in presenting & negotiating AD HOC programs and BA engagement programs.In depth analysis of ROI of all trade investments both in Brick & Mortar as digital investments.What you will bring to the role :
Proven work experience as a Senior Trade Marketeer (+7 years in similar role).Excellent negotiation & decision-making skills.Experience within the Brick & Mortar environment.Digital marketing expertise is key in this role!Strategic thinker.Excellent analytical thinking.In depth knowledge of Client Experiences & Client Services and be able to seamlessly implement this for all our wholesalers.Commercial feeling as you will closely work together with the WHS Commercial Director.Experience with budget planning and KPIs.Be able to work with strict deadlines.Solid communication skills – fluently in Dutch & English.Willing to travel to Brussels minimum 1 day a week.
