We are currently seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join our team in the Netherlands.
About the Role
As part of our Element Manager product team, you will gain hands-on experience working on fault, performance, and audit management, as well as application and statistics reporting for various products within the Everbridge Public Warning portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver solutions using C / C++ or Java in a Linux environment while working alongside experienced engineers.
What you'll do :
- Developing new functionality for the Element Manager.
- Enhancing existing products so they can be connected to the Element Manager.
- Sustaining & Maintenance activities.
- Testing and documenting activities.
- Integration of existing Everbridge products into the Element Manager.
- Developing custom tools and scripts.
- Write technical product documentation and initiating product improvements.
- Regularly checking for new platform improvements and capabilities.
- Work closely together with the Product Owner to break down epics and stories.
- Collaborate across engineering teams and guide adoption of best practices within the team.
- Introduce new technologies and methodologies.
- Participate in routine maintenance on existing products to include software deficiency resolution.
- Learn new skills and technologies.
- Fine-tuning of the different components involved in our products and solutions.
- Reporting with respect to the key activities to the Engineering Manager, Product Owner and / or other colleagues.
What you'll bring :
Master Degree in Computer Sciences, Electronic Engineering or equivalent.At least 2+ years of working experience.Graduates are encouraged to apply.Experience with software engineering using C / C++ or Java in a Linux environment.Experience working with GIT as a software configuration management tool.Experience with Linux command line tools and shell scripting.Preferably experience with Linux system administration and security.Preferably experience with Scrum Methodology in an Agile environment.Preferably experience with Python.Preferably experience with Kafka.Preferably experience with the Elastic or TICK stack.Preferably experience with databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).J-18808-Ljbffr
