Kitepower is on a mission to contribute to a more sustainable world by flying kites generating electricity. Founded as a spin-out of Delft University of Technology, we are developing our first commercial system to power farms, construction sites and (island) communities with renewable airborne wind energy.

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a software developer. You will be working in an environment where hardware and software meet in our Kitepower product.

What will you do?

• Design and improve control systems, operational interfaces and the glue between them
• Improve the software infrastructure using C++, Python and shell scripting
• Test complex and distributed systems from unit to integration
• Implement fail-safe and robust software solutions on a range of hardware
• Analyze and investigate failure cases
• Experience the joy of seeing your work deployed in the field quickly and often
