About the role
ACT operates in a dynamic and fast changing environment of market sustainability solutions, which involves enabling organizations and sectors to globally decarbonize and make a positive impact while also participating in various projects, either directly or indirectly. ACT collaborates closely with industry leaders such as CDP, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the International Emissions Trading Association, and the International Carbon Reduction & Offset Alliance to ensure that our solutions remain relevant in a constantly evolving landscape. While ACT has a MiFID license in Amsterdam and is regulated by the FCA in the UK, other activities that are not licensed fall within the voluntary carbon market, which is also part of the Compliance scope.

What you'll do
- Develop, monitor, and maintain policies and procedures between internal rules and regulations
- Create and sustain compliance policies on a global scale, execute compliance program, and advise on regulatory changes
- Train employees on fundamental compliance principles and corporate governance best practices
- Handle compliance issues and engage in potential solutions
- Foster a compliance culture with a robust "tone at the top"
- Establish a clear and distinct separation among three lines of defense
- Ensure the organization is ready to operate in a more regulated environment
- Conduct fraud investigation and Speak Up cases
- Closely engage with both internal and external stakeholders
Who you are
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a regulatory compliance officer or advisory within financial industryUniversity degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics or gained by experienceUnderstanding the capital and OTC markets, combined with knowledge of the European regulatory environment (AML / CTF / MiFID / MiFIR, EMIR, MAR, CSDR, etc.)Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and build compliance framework (including voluntary carbon market settings)Excellent communication skills, coupled with a strong moral compass and integrityAbility to translate a strategic perspective into actionable steps, work autonomously, and a quick learnerFluency in English, other European language will be a plusWhat we offer
