Job description

As a Commercial Officer, you will be the contact between our customers and suppliers. Your duties include liaising with customers and suppliers via phone, email, and physical meetings. You will also be given the challenge of binding customers to the company and, where possible, increasing off-take. Within the role, quotation requests will be answered and requests for information in a service-oriented manner. The role has a preparatory technical aspect, possibly in consultation with the Production Manager and Quality Engineer, to ensure the actual orders run as smoothly as possible through the process, meeting the set quality requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • You supervise the sales process and view it in a commercial manner;
  • You assess quotation requests and draft them where necessary;
  • Handle information requests in consultation with responsible colleagues;
  • Carry out relevant administrative tasks;
  • Conduct sales meetings by phone, email, or physical consultation;
  • Advise customers in case of questions and complaints, dealing with these satisfactorily in consultation with responsible colleagues;
  • Place purchase orders under the right commercial conditions and ensure timely delivery of products;
  • Contribute to the company's short- and long-term strategy;
  • Be responsible for procurement-related tasks.

Job Requirements

  • MBO+ / HBO working and thinking level (various technical directions) with additional professional training and courses.
  • Work experience within a similar position is a plus;
  • Sufficient technical knowledge to master offered processes.
  • Good communication, commercial, and contact skills.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English in writing and speaking, and German in writing.
