SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Global Tax Manager
Location : Schiedam
At the corporate head office based in Schiedam, the new position for a Global Tax Manager has arisen to strengthen the team. He / she will be part of the tax team consisting of 7 tax professionals and will report to the Head of Tax. The Global Tax Manager will be responsible for Tax Planning and Tax Management but will also be involved in managing tax accounting and tax compliance. The role focuses on direct tax, but it is a generalist tax role overseeing all tax aspects Mammoet is facing on a day-to-day basis.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Advising the business on a wide variety of tax matters, with a main focus on direct tax matters and transfer pricing, including but not limited to :
- Corporate income tax, restructuring, financing, M&A, day-to-day tax advisory
- Permanent establishments
- Transfer pricing
- Withholding tax
- Cost avoidance and cash flow savings initiatives
- Tax audits and dispute resolution
- Tax risk management and control
- Supporting the Regional Tax Managers in various tax issues and projects and taking the lead to centralize and unify Transfer Pricing
- Providing input to the Tax Accountant for the monthly and annual tax reporting process as well as the Dutch corporate income tax return
- Creating awareness and training of regional and local financial controllers regarding tax
- Maintaining a close relationship and strong cooperation between the finance and tax departments in the Netherlands and other Mammoet offices globally
- Keeping abreast of possible changes in laws and regulations and their impact on the organization
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the tax department, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics, or a related fieldAt least 5 years of broad tax experience, with an appetite for tax accounting and compliancePotential to develop and progress into a more senior roleExcellent communication skills in English, both written and verbalGood collaboration skills with peers, the business, and senior-level executivesProven ability to manage compliance with internal and external regulations and policiesTax technology experience or savviness is an assetProficiency in English (verbal and written) is essentialWHAT YOU’LL GET
