Who we are looking for

At BAADER you will join an innovative and growing family business. Our financial department in NL is a professional team of 4 people working closely with business operations both on a local and international level. We are looking for a

Senior Controller (1,0 FTE),

Responsible for all financial operations for BAADER Food systems the Netherlands, reporting directly to the CFO of BAADER Poultry (functional) and the MD of BAADER Doesburg (hierachical).

Key result areas are :

Information Management

  • Preparation of the periodical financial statements for the executive board in the Netherlands, the CFO BAADER Food Systems, and the holding company.
  • Control and assessment of the incoming financial data.
  • Preparation of the annual accounts. This includes the preparation of the balance sheet and the profit and loss account.
  • Analysis of the financial statements and drawing up explanatory notes about such.
  • Keeping track of the latest procedures and guidelines within the group.
  • Ensuring compliance with the group procedures and guidelines.

Policy development

  • Advising the executive board about the financial policy for the short and medium-term (liquidity position, investments, budgeting).
  • After approval by the holding company, implementation of the policy for the Dutch branch as formulated by the executive board.
  • Organization

  • Establishing the structure of the administrative organization within the Dutch branch.
  • Issuing assignments, directions, and instructions to, and requesting information from, the staff in the various divisional administration departments.
  • The implementation of procedures and guidelines.
  • Liquidity management

  • Financial management tasks, including
  • credit control
  • budget control
  • stock control
  • monitoring the liquidity position and expenditure levels.
  • Duties

  • Ensuring compliance with the statutory obligations in relation to financial administration, such as the deduction and payment of income tax and financial reporting
  • Overseeing the proper execution and settlement of financial transactions between the Dutch branch and the international branches.
  • Who you are

    Hard skills :

  • Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Mastery of financial analysis, financial modelling, and accounting.
  • Proven experience (5-10 years) in a similar position.
  • Extended experience in working with SAP
  • Soft skills :

  • Attention to detail – to ensure all financial transactions are properly accounted for
  • Strong organization skills – to manage and keep track of multiple financial tasks simultaneously
  • Problem-solving skills – to be able to identify and resolve financial issues as they arise
  • Time management skills – to ensure deadlines are met
  • What we offer

    This is a challenging position where you will have independent responsibility and great opportunities to contribute to the production controlling of BAADER Poultry. Salary is in line with market rates (90K-120K). You will be located in Doesburg (GLD).
