Our client has its headquarters in the Leiden region, 9 sales offices across Europe, a warehouse and print shop in Poland, and an in-house production site of innovative products in the UK. They are the European leader in the product media industry. They offer a wide collection of quality products and top brands, with many customisation options. With many categories ranging from drinkware to technology, from clothing and bags to home and from stationery & writing to umbrellas and sports & leisure. It employs around 800 people across locations in Europe and Shanghai.

Commuting : There is a direct 20-minute bus connection from Leiden Central Station and from Schiphol Airport to this company's location. From Hoofddorp, there is a 25-minute direct bus connection. They are moving to a very central location in Leiden in 2025.

Role

We are looking for a full time Customer Service Representative to focus on the German-speaking market. You will work closely with other departments within the company locally and internationally to ensure a smooth order flow and an efficient process.

  • Communicate with customers on a daily basis; understand the needs of the customer while targeting to ensure excellent services and support towards our customers.
  • Inquiries / quotations : with a strong product interest and with customer’s needs in mind, propose the right product / service to match their needs.
  • Pricing : project pricing sensitive, propose options to meet the customer’s budgets.
  • Handle the order processing (order entry), its accuracy, and timeline (including following on transportation and import if relevant), until completion and delivery into customers' hands and until the order is paid.
  • Responsible for after-sales and complaint management in cooperation with the sales team and manager, to reach both customer and company objectives.

You bring this

  • A native-level command of the German language and professional English.
  • A MBO or HBO level of education (or equivalent).
  • A commercial / sales mindset gained in a previous Customer Service job. Experience with B2B customers from Germany is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Knowledge / understanding of (non-EU) export procedures and export documentation.
  • Pro-active and problem-solving mentality, eager to learn. Accurary, precision and attention to detail.
  • Strong listening and good communication / commercial skills to understand customer needs.
  • A good dose of humor.
