The Lead Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing business operations and optimizing the productivity of our team members. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, recommending solutions, and ensuring that these solutions align with our strategic goals. The Lead Business Analyst will demonstrate strong leadership skills by taking ownership of projects, communicating effectively with the CTO leadership team and stakeholders, and providing regular updates on risks and issues.

Responsibilities

  • Identify key business objectives and provide solution recommendations while performing business process and management consulting analysis.
  • Manage the scope of business analysis projects from inception to close. Define, develop, and manage implementation schedules, highlighting risks and issues to the Data and Integration Manager, CTO leadership team, and stakeholders.
  • Improve the work value stream by removing tactical impediments and enhancing work processes for more effective, consistent, and sustainable execution.
  • Understand the components of the business system, how functionality maps to them, and how the system is projected to evolve, ensuring timely and high-integrity delivery of capabilities.
  • Support complex data modeling, data lineage, and data security in driving through specific “use cases” such as ESG insights and reporting and retirement strategy.
  • Develop more effective data storage, integration, and presentation capabilities to support fact-based decision-making used to better manage the AAM organization.
  • Collaborate with the CDO function to strengthen this capability, such as alignment on storage and availability or the “single version of the truth,” ingesting new types of data, and automating data quality.
  • Execute delivery plans, providing guidance and input to strategic and technical planning for multiple business analysis projects.
  • Role model and support embedding a culture of creating impact and continuous improvement.
  • Defines and leads Testing for complex projects and is the subject matter expert for data assurance testing methods.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education / experience. Minimum of 8 years of experience in testing and / or systems background. Thorough understanding of operational procedures and systems.
  • Proven experience in business analysis and leadership roles.
  • Ability to set direction and effectively execute multiple business analysis initiatives, influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of success in large-scale organizations.
  • Experienced in managing teams through complex projects.
  • Experienced in mentoring and coaching people.
  • Action-oriented with an innovative approach to management to improve efficiency, service delivery, and information management.
  • Good sense of humor.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with working in global teams.
  • Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Knowledge of asset management services or related industries.
  • Experience with key applications such as Blackrock’s Aladdin, Markit, Tableau / PowerBI, Alation will be a benefit.
  • Programming and / or IT background helpful from testing perspective.
