We are looking for a candidate with relevant experience who is excited to embrace a new challenge. This role is ideal for someone eager to immerse themselves in a dynamic environment encompassing the entire IoT ecosystem, from physical products to cloud applications.

You will work closely with your colleagues, taking responsibility for testing all elements in the chain, with particular focus on coordinating and testing backend and frontend software applications. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, sharing your test results daily with colleagues across departments and ensuring issues are quickly identified and resolved.

What are you going to do?

Operating within a Scrum environment, your day will start with a stand-up meeting. As a key member of the Quality Assurance team, you will play an essential role in ensuring our products meet and exceed quality standards. Together with our Test Engineers, you’ll oversee testing activities within the development process. While your colleagues handle functional system testing, your focus will be on backend testing, frontend testing and test automation.

Additionally, your days will be filled with :

  • Creating and maintaining new test criteria, scripts and test cases and simulations.
  • Setting up and maintaining test environments.
  • Testing new software developments (backend and frontend) to verify and validate the functionality, safety and results.
  • Analysing test results and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues.

What do we offer?

  • Competitive salary or freelance rate.
  • Ability to work between 24 and 40 hours.
  • 30 vacation days (based on a full-time contract, if employed).

  • Good pension scheme in which the employee pays 2% of the pension base and the employer pays the rest (for employees).

    • What do we ask of you?

  • A completed Higher Education degree (Embedded Software / Electrical Engineering or similar),
  • A completed Higher Education degree (Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent),
  • Experience with test tools and test frameworks such as the Robot Framework, Cucumber or similar BDD frameworks
  • Experience with Playwright and testing APIs and web applications
  • Ideally, certification in Quality Assurance (ISTQB, TMAP, or equivalent).
  • Preferably, knowledge of functional safety standards (61508, 50126, 50128 / 50716) and data communication.
  • Strong analytical skills, curiosity, and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to work in the office 3 to 4 days per week.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, ideally also Dutch.
