Job description
A key focus points of this role are ensuring that our Process Control Monitoring (PCM) structures are precisely tailored to meet our product flow needs, defect levels in our production line stay low, and our inspection strategies are effective.
In this position, you will have to translate complex engineering requirements into straightforward instructions for operations, making communication clear between these two teams. By joining our VIE team, you’ll collaborate closely with fellow Integration Engineers, Operations, and Process Engineers to drive excellence in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities :
Process Control Monitoring (PCM) :
- Design, measure, and validate in-line PCM test structures to support production efficiency and quality;
- Collaborate with VIE to tailor PCM structures for optimized process flows;
- Work closely with Mask Engineering and Metrology teams to ensure accurate and effective PCM designs.
Defect Inspection and Optimization :
Optimize defect inspection strategies together with Metrology and Integration teams to maximize defect detection efficiency;Partner with process and equipment engineers in the fab to proactively control and reduce defect levels;Continuously review and enhance inspection protocols to uphold and exceed quality standards.Documentation and Continuous Improvement :
Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, with the latest operational insights. Act as the primary knowledge source for defectivity;Leverage data to identify and implement process optimizations, collaborating across teams to drive continuous improvement;Lead 8D teams to resolve incidents swiftly and effectively, ensuring long-term process stability.We are looking for a candidate who has / is :
Master’s degree in a technical field and 2-3 years of semiconductor industry experience OR a PhD with a relevant topic;Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as optical microscopes, profilometers, SEM, CD-SEM, and automated visual inspection systems;Clear communication using both visuals and text is crucial, especially for compiling straightforward work instructions;Cleanroom experience;Familiarity with Process Control Monitoring;Familiarity with mask design; data analysis and scripting experience are advantageous;Proactive and takes ownership, attention to detail;Teamwork skills – you will communicate with various teams;Excellent communication skills in English.We offer :
