FunctieomschrijvingMany modern devices are currently equipped with depth sensing (i.e., hardware) or depth estimation (i.e., software) capabilities. However, there is still a lack of broad usage of depth information in mainstream video applications (e.g., video conferencing, video editing).The goal of the internship will be to contribute to an end-to-end workflow for RGB-D video content, given the current constraints of consumer electronics (capture and playback) and the needs of mainstream video applications.Working towards a Master's degree in Computer Science, Signal Processing, Video Coding, or equivalent.Knowledge of (3D) image / video processing fundamentals and familiar or willing to learn about video streaming and compression.Hands-on experience with Android application development. Comfortable with at least one programming language (e.g., Python). Experience with media frameworks (e.g., GPAC) or machine learning is a plus.Rigorous, creative, pragmatic.Proficient level of English.
