Senior Test Automation Engineer

A great opportunity for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join a small, focused team within a leading international technology innovator and develop a testing plan and automated testing framework from scratch.

This will suit a Senior Test Automation Engineer from any industry, with at least 3 years of experience creating automated tests, proficient English language ability and at least intermediate Dutch. The technology stack used is C# / .NET, so existing knowledge and experience in this area, or a willingness to learn, is a plus.

The Opportunity

X-Rite is the global leader in color trends, science and technology, helping companies around the world achieve the highest level of color reproduction on a vast array of products, packaging and branding.

This hybrid role (2-3 days a week in our Rijswijk office in the Hague and the rest at home) is a key part of our software engineering team of 14, developing high-quality applications for measuring and managing color. This is a unique field with a high degree of specialization (but you don’t need to have already worked in the specific color technology domain).

The team manage three innovative color-quality products, and the Senior Test Automation Engineer will develop a testing plan and automated testing framework from scratch. You will get assistance from our experienced developers and testers will guide you through our applications when starting.

The Ideal Candidate

• Test Automation Engineer with knowledge of existing test methods, techniques, and tools, and at least 3 years of experience creating automated tests for both desktop and web applications
• Some programming experience (experience of C# / .Net is advantageous) and 1 year of MS SQL
• Knowledge of frontend development is a plus (e.g., WPF, Blazor, HTML, Typescript / JavaScript)
• Higher professional or academic level of work and thinking (HBO / WO)
• Able to work independently, creative problem-solving skills, sense of responsibility, flexible, eager to learn, and a good sense of humour
• Fluent English (all software is written in English) and intermediate Dutch is helpful, as this is the language spoken in the office
