For our Dutch Legal department, we are looking for a highly qualified Senior Legal Counsel with a passion for legal matters in logistics, commercial and corporate law, and data protection. This role will focus on fully supporting the organization on a wide range of legal and compliance issues.

Your Role

As an in-house Legal Counsel, you are the legal conscience of our organization. You will safeguard the reputation of our Benelux organization by guaranteeing that the strict corporate and national legal and compliance guidelines are followed. You will be a legal “go to” person for any questions from our business and functional units on legal and data protection matters. You will join a small, close-knit team with a central function within our Dutch organization, supporting the business from our Dutch office in Rotterdam. Your Responsibilities

You will advise our business and functional units onvarious legal aspects, primarily in logistics, complex customer and suppliercontracts and data protection related matters. Key responsibilities include :
Providing comprehensive legal support on contractual andoperational matters in Transportation Law, Logistics Law and Commercial Law.
Preparing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and othertransactions with customers, partners and suppliers.
Handling claims and managing litigation.
Advising on data protection issues, including drafting andreviewing data processing agreements and handling data breaches and datasubject requests.
Liaising with international legal colleagues on cross-bordermatters when required.
Maintaining awareness of legislative trends and requirementsand support changes.
Keeping the contract database and other relevant databasesup to date.
Supporting legal projects (such as the implementation oflegal tech and new legislative requirements) across our Benelux clusterorganisation.

Your Skills and Experiences

University degree in (Dutch) Law with at least 5 years ofrelevant experience, either as a legal counsel preferably in logistics or arelated industry, or in a law firm.

Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with theability to interact with different cultures, clients and levels of theorganization.

Customer-oriented mindset and the ability to act as atrusted advisor.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to workindependently and under pressure.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Advanced proficiency in Dutch and English, both written andspoken.

Pragmatic, hands-on mentality, combined with integrity andprofessionalism.
