We are currently looking for a Trade Manager to lead our operations within the Global Logistics industry. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing trade activities, ensuring efficient and seamless logistics operations. This role is based at our headquarters in the busy and thriving Port of Rotterdam, Europe’s largest port.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Offer the most optimal combination of service, pricing, and terms to our customers, in collaboration with sales;
  • Collaborate with other Samskip Trade departments, with the aim of expanding our network and continuously optimizing our working methods;
  • Monitor costs and reflecting this positively in our pricing;
  • Report on P&L, growth, and results of your specific trade route;
  • Expand operational activities, revenue, and business development.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and potential risks within the logistics industry.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique logistics requirements, and providing innovative solutions to meet their needs.
  • Stay informed about and ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, customs procedures, and other relevant standards.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in trade management within the global logistics industry.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics operations.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving targets and driving continuous improvement.
