Contract Frontend Engineer –

Location : 2x Days per week Utrecht

Contract Type : Freelance / Contract - Payroll €80-85 / hour

Duration : 6+ months (extension likely)

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join a high-impact team responsible for one of the most critical areas of a large-scale eCommerce platform : the Product Page and related customer-facing features such as wish lists, image galleries, and review displays.

What You’ll Do

• Build and enhance frontend components for the Product Page and related features
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, analysts, and other frontend engineers
• Contribute to the ongoing migration to a modern tech stack (React, Remix, Tailwind)
• Monitor and analyse frontend performance using modern observability tools
• Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.)
