Sligro Food GroupMeierijstad, Noord-Brabant, NetherlandsRegional Sales Manager
LIONTilburg, Noord-Brabant, NetherlandsLION offers you a job where you can make a difference! LION develops and produces fire simulation systems for training purposes all over the world. These are used by fire departments, defence forces, emergency response organizations, and industrial companies. From the Tilburg office in the Netherlands, approximately 60 employees work on the success of LION, where cooperation, doing what you promise, continuous learning, exceeding customer expectations, close customer relations, and corporate social responsibility are of paramount importance.
The position of Regional Sales Manager
A Regional Sales Manager is a commercially driven individual who aims for outstanding sales results. In this role, you manage your designated regions, providing (international) clients with training solutions that meet their specific needs, whether small or large. The Benelux countries and Scandinavia are among the regions included in this area. The main focus is on the growth and profitability of your region. You keep an eye on regional market trends and identify new opportunities to pursue. Achieving optimal customer satisfaction is your primary goal, and you address potential issues promptly by providing solutions. You understand your clients well and proactively think through suitable, technical solutions to meet their training requirements. Selling a technical product is second nature to you. Ultimately, you aim to build long-term relationships, not only with potential clients but also with LION.
You will sell Training Solutions to clients based on your established Sales & Country Plans, and you will report on sales results using Salesforce. To drive sales, you are consistently proactive in seeking new clients and appointing new dealers. You also support existing dealers with their daily operations. You take ownership of your proposals to clients and enjoy organizing demonstrations and product presentations, whether on-site with the client or at LION’s location. Your objective : closing the deal. You work collaboratively with the team, as you are part of the sales team, and when a promising lead arises, the “Triangle” team is activated. This trio, which is involved from the start of the sales process, includes a Sales Engineer, Project Engineer, and Project Manager. The Sales Engineer takes the lead in developing the technical proposal for the client.
Your profile
You hold a relevant bachelor degree, with demonstrated analytical and practical skills. You are driven and enthusiastic, with several years of proven experience in a commercial role as a Regional Sales Manager—an excellent opportunity for the next step in your career! Sales experience in the firefighting sector, public safety, or mechanical industry is preferred. You possess strong organizational and commercial skills, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset. You understand sales strategies for both end-users and through dealer networks. Your communication skills are excellent, both verbal and written, in Dutch and English, with an additional language such as French or German being an advantage. You are willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
What does LION offer?
LION offers you the opportunity to do meaningful work that enables emergency responders to save lives. It is a new business unit for the organization, in which you will have space to help build this business unit from the early stages. We also offer a job in which you will travel up to 50% of your working hours.
Of course, we offer a good benefits package, including 40 days annual leave, a favourable pension plan, travel allowance, and the possibility to make purchases with tax benefits (e.g., a sports subscription, laptop, weekend away, or a gift card). We are affiliated with the collective labour agreement Metalektro. You get the opportunity to work partly remote, but working in our beautiful building in Tilburg is also very pleasant!
Are you curious about this vacancy?
We are very curious about you. We would like to invite you for an introduction where we zoom in on who you are and what you are looking for. We will also show you around our Experience Centre, where we will show you what the organization develops and produces. If we are both enthusiastic after the introduction, we will offer you a few hours within the organization. You can then experience what working at LION is like by talking to different colleagues, among other things. We find it very important that you have a good picture of the organization and whether it suits you.
