The Central Data Processing of the Tax Administration is the IT service and competence center of the tax administration of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and is located in Koblenz.

The tasks to be performed include in particular

  • Setting up and operating the passive network infrastructure
  • Setup and operation of the active network components for LAN and WLAN
  • Order management within the scope of project management
  • Monitoring the network components of all locations in Rhineland-Palatinate
  • Fault detection, fault isolation and initiation of troubleshooting measures
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation

What you should bring with you :

  • Successfully completed vocational training as an IT specialist, IT systems electronics technician (m / f / d) or comparable vocational training of at least three years with an IT connection
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with network technologies, in particular in the areas of switches, network cabling, VLAN, routing and in the WLAN environment
  • Good knowledge of diagnostic and monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of other IT areas (e.g. server technology, client technology, network security)
  • Good knowledge of hardware and peripheral devices
  • Ability to work independently in structured IT processes and contexts
  • Class B driving license
  • Good written and spoken German language skills (language level : competent use of language C1 / C2)

This is a permanent, open-ended position. Extensive training in the topics and tasks will be provided by experienced colleagues

The employment relationship is permanent. If the requirements under collective bargaining law and personal requirements are met, a classification up to pay group E 9b TV-L can be made.

If you are suitably qualified and meet the requirements under civil service law, it may be possible to become a civil servant at a later date.
