THE ROLE

The Brand Manager has a key role in further developing the Bolsius brand, driving to the brand / marketing strategy and thereby delivering our business objectives. The Brand Manager leads driving the brand strategy for the Home Ambiance category to strengthen our market position and the Bolsius brand in the mind of the consumers in the Benelux. He or she has a leading role in all facets of consumer communication : from brand big idea development, to media strategy and execution of the consumer activation campaigns. You will work closely with the central marketing team and CMO to develop and execute the Bolsius brand strategy for the Benelux, which should also be able to drive our brand further in multiple international markets. The Brand Manager reports to the Business Unit manager Benelux and via a dotted line to the Head of Brand Activation in the central marketing team. The Brand Manager has 1 direct report : the Consumer Care & Brand coordinator.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Brand Manager owns the Bolsius brand and knows exactly how to win the heart of the Benelux consumers. By working closely together with a multi-disciplinary team you manage to grow the mental and physical availability of Bolsius in the Benelux (and beyond) an effective and profitable way. He or she will be responsible for development, implementation and monitoring of the brand guidelines and communication. You will concretely :

  • Bring the brand campaign to life across consumer touchpoints (online / offline) and measure the return of investment and KPI’s with the key defined agencies / partners.
  • Develop, implement and monitor the annual activation program Benelux in cooperation with Category Management, and Sales.
  • Feed the internal organization with insights and lead business case building for EPD’s / NPD’s in Benelux.
  • Drive Bolsius across digital brand channels : e.g. oversee the brand’s social media accounts, drive SEO / SEA and stay updated with the latest technology like AI.
  • Initiate and chair (multi-disciplinary) project teams related to brand activities.
  • Lead our interactions and cooperation with external parties, like advertising & media agencies.
  • Set up an environment for the Consumer Care & Brand coordinator to thrive.

REQUIREMENTS

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree focusing on commercial / marketing, and have at least 3-5 years of work experience in FMCG and / or A-brand environment. You master brand management & communication, consumer activation and consumer research. You have excellent presentation- and communication skills and have demonstrable experience with successfully coordinating projects. You are multilingual in English and Dutch, with an international scope.

Your competences include the ability to engage stakeholders for the business plans. You are a creative thinker, result-oriented and a proactive self-motivated team player with an eye for detail. You have a good understanding of nuance differences between different cultures within a work area and have a natural feeling regarding organizational sensitivity.
