Field Service Technician Main Responsibilities :
- Provide technical / troubleshooting Product support and guidance to the customer and / or customer's Product Support staff
- Solve technical issues on the range of their products via own technical knowledge and supervisor’s help
- Respond to phone and e-mail requests for technical information and / or technical assistance from our customers
- Investigate the root cause of failure and assist with troubleshooting for technical resolutions
- Provide regular communications to keep the customer (and / or customer’s Product Support staff) up to date on the latest product support issues
- Participate in customer calls, work site visits to countries, and regional tours for the purpose of clarifying product issues and customer concerns
- Support warranty claims and field marketing campaigns
- Provide service training to the customers
- Commissioning new machines
- Inspections on new and older machines
- Advice customers for maintenance and parts replacement
- Create technical documentation to diagnose known issues to share knowledge across product support teams
Field Service Technician Ideal Candidate :
- Experience in Automotive / Agricultural / Construction Equipment product support or graduates with relevant technical knowledge would be advantageous
- Hydraulic Technical Knowledge, Electric, Diesel Engine knowledge is preferred
- A team players’ and hands-on mentality.
- French speaking would be advantageous
- Ability to work towards root cause analysis on technical issues and solving conflict, frequent travel is required
- Effectively communicate with customers, dealers, various internal departments, and colleagues at all levels
